Stop Paper Motion

More stop motion from me. I have been working on this little film for the last couple of weeks. Its version 1.0. I want to adjust a few things but here is the first release. My girlfriend Vera did the sound effect voices 🙂

Stop Motion Animation

Animation is something that has always interested me, ever since I was a kid. I used to make little 10 second animations on my dads SE Macintosh in the early nineties. And it is what made me want to go into the Digital Design world, work with flash and make little movies. But somwhere I lost may way and stopped creating animations. I have decided to change that and start up again. Today I was tinkering Stop Motion Animation. Something that I find facinating. I love that you can take everyday objects and bring them to life and give them character just by adding movement. Anyway. Here are the two clips i made today.

OK, I updated this post rather than making a new entry aswell. I’m just adding a 4 second amination on here. This was a test I did with my new Nikon D60 to see if i could create an HD stop motion and try out the new HD functionality on Youtube. I created this one through the “import as sequence” functionality in AfterEffects. Its running at 24 fps.

Toshiba ‘Timesculpture’ Advert

It took 4,7 million dollars, 200 gigashot cameras, a 14 meter camera rig, 20 terabytes of data and the Bullet Time technique from the Matrix to make this ad. And it is pretty good to!

Ogilvy’s latest for Ford

Noah Harris’ latest video for ford with Ogilvy and BlinkInk, Brand republic has a full article here, basically it says that it is targeted at women and aiming to establish itself as a style icon, maybe they should have thought about that when they designed the car as-well? I mean the new Fiat 500 is a potential style icon, the new Ford Fiesta is in my eyes pretty bland, and the micro-site is shocking, nice TV ad non the less.
