Andreas and I made some movie-magic last weekend when he visited me in Germany. I think we spent about 1 1/2 hours animating. A short and fun project.

Another outstanding stopmotion piece!
More stop motion from me. I have been working on this little film for the last couple of weeks. Its version 1.0. I want to adjust a few things but here is the first release. My girlfriend Vera did the sound effect voices 🙂
You can also view it in HD. But to do that I think you have to click on the video and get to the actual youtube page. Doesn’t seem to work with embedded video.
Weeble and Bob is nothing new, it has been around since my university days and was “hot piss” back then. I really like some of the episodes, my favorite is probably the one above although it is hard to choose, because they have done a lot. It is made by Jonti Picking and Chris Vick in Flash and it is interesting so see the subtle changes over the years as Flash has progressed, well at least to me that is kind of interesting.
Weebl and Bob website with a massive catalog of cartoons.
Or maybe this is my favourite:
Best short film I have seen in a long time Oktapodi by Julien Bocabeille, Francois-Xavier Chanioux, Olivier Delabarre, Thierry Marchand, Quentin Marmier and Emud Mokhberi did an amazing work for this world known academy. Animation, lighting, moddeling, textures.. etc all of them amazing..
Have fun!! 😉
I came across this video by tourist pictures. It’s the american wars since WW2 represented by food in a stop motion animation. Pretty funny, and well made. Pay attention and see if you can guess the countries represented by a piece of culinary.
Here is food fight website with an explenation of the food/countries.
linky to their website where you can find other movie projects.
Until next time, auf wiedersehen
A colleague of mine in my new office here in germany showed me this site. I was looking at some illustration sites and he said “oh I have a friend that does some cool illustrations…” and he introduced me to Klonek. I really like his illustrations. Quite retro, and a contrast to all the superdetailed-high-tech-pointy-industrial-collage illsutrations you see so much these days. It might not be to everyones taste but I think he has something. Check out his weird webpage here.
Oh, also on the subject of illustration. I want to share a link to some illustrators Ricardo showed me a while a go, I know it hasn’t been on the blog so it deserves an entry. Check out mulheresbarbadas.
