GTI Project
May 12, 2009Hands on competition
January 27, 2009This ia quite good. VW Norway are havning a competition where the participants can win a new Golf. All you have to do is to keep your slighltly moving mouse hand over the car the longest, you get a 5 mnute break every hour. They had to have a knock out round before christmas and now the final is here. As I write there is 12 players left of the 175 players who got through and it has been going for 3 days.
Cheers

Saab’s turbo gene test.
November 25, 2008Test yourself and find out which Saab is perfect for you. I got some flashy fast convertible, which will you get? (I am waiting for a comment from Igor saying he got the station wagon).

Do you need a new car?
October 23, 2008Fuck Fiat.
No, that’s not a joke. That’s a very real Brazilian company (they have four branches, and a website).
Mini Electric
October 21, 2008In Brazil, hybrid cars are not that cool. They are just standard cars. Yes, Brazil’s “default” car option is the “total flex” (or flexible fuel): you can fill your tank with petrol, sugar cane alcohol (ethanol), or a combination of both. There are a variety of Total Flex cars from which to choose, ranging from the Vauxhall Corsa (Opel) to Mitsubishi’s Pajero TR4.
Natural gas is also a popular option – with R$15,30 (approx. £4.20) you can fill a small tank and run up to 100km with your car. Brazil’s electricity is comparatively clean (84% is hydroelectric), which means (in my opinion) that Brazil can be considered a world leader in the fight against global warming! Oh yeah!
But I’m not here to talk about Brazil. I’m here to talk about the new Electric Mini I just saw on Wired:
BMW will produce approximately 500 of these very-very-very-very-very cute electric Mini Coopers – for select private and corporate customers only…….. (that’s so unfair!) It’s the first electric car I see that don’t look like a toy:

Ogilvy’s latest for Ford
September 23, 2008Noah Harris’ latest video for ford with Ogilvy and BlinkInk, Brand republic has a full article here, basically it says that it is targeted at women and aiming to establish itself as a style icon, maybe they should have thought about that when they designed the car as-well? I mean the new Fiat 500 is a potential style icon, the new Ford Fiesta is in my eyes pretty bland, and the micro-site is shocking, nice TV ad non the less.

Ferrari concept car
August 19, 2008According to Fubiz, Ferrari has made this concept car. Its a very interesting piece of design based on the shape of a wing. And I can imagine that those glasses will be a right hit with the cheesy marketing guys.

New Porsche Site
August 18, 2008The company I’m working for at the moment (BB-K.com) here in Germany just recently launched the new Porsche website. It’s not a completely new site but more of a facelift, with extras. The site has coprporate designs style but also very clean, and I really like the interface of the main menu. You can actually browse all the models and find the car you like without clicking once. I also reccomend you check out the ‘build your own porsche’ section in 3D. Very nice but you need Shockwave installed.

The new VW Sciroosoao? (scirocco)
August 11, 2008The new Website for the new VW Scirocco. An amazing site with great video and 3d production. Well worth a visit, only comment would be, why don’t they have a more catchy name for such a cool car?
Have fun!!
